SO... WHAT IS THE BCM?

The BCM is a student organization at Austin Peay State University.  BCM stands for Baptist Collegiate Ministry. Our “home” is the BCM building, located on APSU's Campus (corner of College & Drane).

The BCM provides opportunities for spiritual growth, making friends, leadership, service, and missions. We have everything from big events with up to a couple hundred students, to small groups and one-on-one mentoring, so there is a place that is just right for you!

2

DO I HAVE TO BE BAPTIST?

Absolutely not! The BCM is sponsored by local and state Southern Baptist churches and is open to all APSU students! So come on by the BCM... everyone is welcome!

3

ARE WE A CHURCH?

No. We are a ministry supported by dozens of local churches through the Cumberland Baptist Association. The BCM encourages all of our students to be actively involved in a local church; we never want to take the place of church in anyone’s life. One of our goals is to help you find and connect to a local church while you are attending college.

4

HOW DO I JOIN THE BCM?

Just start coming! Our events are open to any APSU college student and our group is diverse. Our large group event is called Refuge on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. and is a great way to find out about other events going on at the BCM.

WHAT KIND OF THINGS DO YOU DO?

We have activities almost every day of the week: large group, small groups, Bible studies, outreach to campus, activities, intramurals etc.. We have family groups which are student-led small group Bible students that meet all over campus at various times. Check out our Get Connected page to find out more.

WHAT HAPPENS AT YOUR BUILDING?

Our APSU BCM building is open Monday through Friday for you to chill with friends, study, and play games. We have comfy couches, free wi-fi, and study tables. While our family group Bible studies meet at various places on campus, our two large weekly events, Refuge and Noonday happens at our BCM building. It’s a great place to hang out and meet people. We hope you will come by often!
